Heidi Montag appeared sad in front of cameras when she filed for divorce from her The Hills costar and husband Spencer Pratt on July 30.
Montag and Pratt eloped in Mexico in August 2008 before officially getting married in the United States in April 2009.
Montag cited irreconcilable differences on the divorce papers when she filed. The pair were back together by the end of September, with Montag filing a motion for dismissal of the divorce on Sept. 29.
According to TMZ, the divorce was a sham set up to help get Montag’s career back on track and put the pair back into the Hollywood limelight. Pratt admits that he has not had a steady job do to his “villain” character he portrayed on The Hills.
There were reports that a British TV network were in talks with the spotlight-craving pair to film a reality show following them after the split. When the deal fell through, they reunited publicly.
